• Emphasis The emphasis on the opening of the pot or the lip is done through the gradation of the glaze and implied light. • This piece is different because of my glaze manipulation. There is one coat on the top of the piece, two in the middle and three at the bottom. Using form, line, light and color as well as time this piece employs most of the elements of 3-D Design; light and color through the gradation, form through the body of the piece, line in the lip as well as the alternating horizontal lines, and time through the aerial view and the rippling effect the lines have.
Good work on this piece. It is well thrown and the top opening is interesting. My one suggestion would be to push surface even further to create more visual emphasis towards the opening.
